Rhyl Test Centre is located on Victoria Road which is really close to the seafront, unfortunately you won’t have much time to enjoy the views if you’re learning in Rhyl as you’ll be learning and developing your driving skills and getting to know the test centre routes that you may encounter on the test day.

Our instructors will prepare you for your driving test at Rhyl test centre, they will most likely take you there or nearby so you can get to know the routes and the feel of it before your test day.
Frequently Asked Questions by Learner Drivers
All you need is your provisional licence which you can apply for when you are 15 and 9 months old. We will need to see this on your initial driving lesson and you will need it to book your theory and practical test.
The DVSA state that the national average a learner takes from start to finish is around 67 hours but we are proud to say that our average is 30 hours.
Our instructor will pick you up from the arranged location, introduce himself, he will ask to see your provisional licence and ask you to read a number plate from 20 metres away. He will then drive you to a quiet location if needed, explain how the controls of the car work and will get you driving asap.

Rhyl has lots of different types of roads for you to learn on, the test centre in Rhyl is quite tricky with small narrow but busy roads. The A525 and the A547 are nearby and will most likely be on your test routes.
